My Approach

Through yoga teaching and mental health studies, I’ve developed an appreciation and understanding of the healing properties of the mind-body connection.

I use an integration of body-based psychotherapy techniques - Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) - to support clients during their self-growth and healing journeys.

Clients are coached through various techniques and  tools to create a comprehensive plan that will help you to find balance and peace in your daily life. My approach to Therapy meets you where you are at and helps you to achieve a sustainable lifestyle that fosters peace and balance in all four energetic bodies (physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual).

I value individuals and their unique stories and circumstances. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy as humans are complex. I offer an integrative approach that adapts to each client and works from within the client’s perspective and contextual experience. Most importantly, I believe that a safe, nonjudgmental and strong therapeutic alliance is the essential foundation for personal growth and healing in therapy.


I enjoy helping clients pave a path to a life they desire by discovering their values, worthiness and potential. I hold a strong belief that everyone possesses the innate ability to get unstuck from emotional pain and suffering, reconnect with self, and find meaning in life. I value relationships with clients and listen without judgement, offer empathy and compassion, and provide a safe place for clients to be their true self.

My hope is that you feel a compassionate presence when you work with me, because it's the space in which healing can occur.  We will work together, at your pace, on your goals, exploring how to access your own self-compassion to also activate this care-system so that you can live a life you love.


We live in a world that is constantly triggering our defence systems.  If you’ve experienced trauma or difficult circumstances this may happen even more frequently for you.  But we all have wounds that come from being human, and we have all found ways to protect ourselves from the pain these wounds cause. 


Therapy isn’t about pathologizing your wounds or how you’ve been coping so far.  It’s about healing.  Fortunately in addition to our threat-defence system we also have a care-system.  When the care system is activated, oxytocin and endorphins are released, which helps to reduce stress and increase feelings of safety and security.


Yoga is not just about the physical practice, it’s integrating perspectives and experiences together that can be experimental, energising and empowering. Ultimately yoga  can be hushed as a healing tool to embody self-awareness and self-acceptance, in connection with others. The conscious use of breath, mindful movement and meditation helps access centering - or a felt sense of equanimity. My goal for all students is to live life, beyond the mat and asanas with more clarity and playfulness and self compassion.

There is no experience required and there are poses for every body type.
